When I was an installer way back in 1989, we wouldn't sell anything that might have problems (obviously most companies wouldn't). In one instance we received a case of alarms and it turned out that 6 out of the 12 units were defective (an internal relay was getting stuck and the flashing parking lights were staying on).

Normally we would never use the product again, but when we called "Tech Support" we received a quick answer with a viable solution.
